Bio from Hyssop Floral

Hyssop Floral is a full service floral design studio based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We take pride in the personalized and professional services we provide thoughtfully from the heart, and we’re deeply excited to share the freshest, most beautiful flowers available with you for any occasion. We believe in sustainability and aim to support local growers throughout each season to source as much locally grown blooms as possible to meet our needs. We also compost any floral waste created and offer petals and blooms to a local company called "Eso Studio" which recycles them to create beautiful naturally dyed goods.

Speaking as the owner and lead designer of this small company, I want to say that this pandemic has really widened my eyes to what working in this profession looks and feels like. It seems every few days, I'm receiving inquiries to send flowers to people in my community who just found out that their having a baby, people celebrating a very special birthday or anniversary, people who are getting married in an intimate setting in their backyards, as well as people having a tough day, families who are processing the grief and tragedy of loosing someone that they dearly loved or the passing of a beloved domestic companion. It is my greatest hope that the warm-spirited, gentle energy I put into arranging flowers is immediately felt by the recipients with an abundance of love and meaning. I'm so blessed to be able to share my passion for flowers with you and I thank you tremendously for your generosity and support.

The Coffee

The coffee inside of the Support Bag is our House Blend. This blend has been with us since the beginning and has been a staple in most of our partners cafe's. It is a blend of coffees from Guatemala and Colombia. We could consider this a medium roast and is a nice chocolate/caramel/cherry cup. This coffee is versatile. You can pull a shot, make an ol' fashioned pot, or slowly pour water over a bed of grounds in a beautiful chemex/v60/kalita. Enjoy!
